Q: Based on the life of the prophets in the verses of the Quran, what characteristics should religious teachers and missionaries have?
A: Based on the life of the prophets in the verses of the Quran, religious teachers and missionaries should possess certain characteristics. Firstly, they should purify their souls and not seek to profit or accumulate wealth for themselves by teaching divine truths and advising people.
Secondly, they should have enough knowledge to lead society. Therefore, it is necessary for them to strive to acquire divine knowledge and keep themselves updated with current scientific, social, medical, and other relevant knowledge.
In other words, religious teachers and missionaries need to have "commitment and expertise." They should speak with conviction and be correct in their teachings, while also possessing the necessary knowledge and expertise to provide informed opinions. Otherwise, instead of showing people the right path, they may cause confusion and lead them astray.
Therefore, the Prophet's way of life teaches us that to lead society, expertise, and commitment, as well as religious knowledge and understanding, are necessary and essential conditions that must accompany each other.
